The awareness celebrations included the launch of e-booklet titled “Know Your Flora – A Glimpse of Thar Ecosystem”, plantation and seed distribution, poster competition for children, online and on-spot quizzes, awareness campaigns - live webinars from experts and mass toolbox talks.

On June 5, 2020 the digital event kicked-off with a welcome address by Shobhit Tiwari, Chief HSEQ Officer followed by message from Oscar Quintero, COO launching the e-booklet. On 11 December 2014, The United Nations proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga, to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. With COVID-19 and social distancing measures effectively shutting down our lives, yoga studios and other community spaces, practicing yoga at home has become popular among enthusiasts. In such circumstances, the theme for International Yoga Day 2020 was aptly decided as ‘Yoga at Home and Yoga with Family’. As the late B. K. S. Iyengar put it, “Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions.”

At organizational level yoga session was conducted on June 19, 2020 by Balachandran G , Senior Professor, SKY, The session was attended by 70+ employees wherein Professor Bala beautifully explained Yoga in extremely simple words – Yoga is an international word – it means to unite, be in harmony.  To be satisfied with whatever is happening around us. On June 21, 2020 the International Yoga Day, employees joined through Facebook and Youtube channels on the international live sessions conducted by SKY team on peace and yoga.

Also, juxtaposing yoga postures to that of oil and gas eqipements, employees at site locations did asanas to bring life to the theme of “ Yoga at oil field”. Take a look at the pictures.

Leveraging the power of digitalization to automate surveillance on the production wells in Mangala, Bhagyam, Aishwarya (MBA) fields, ‘Artificial Lift Surveillance’ (ALS)  automation platform for the downhole pumps (ESPs/ PCPs) was launched recently. This platform is deployed on Microsoft Azure platform, which is web based tool.  With a vision to advance surveillance, improve user experience, enhance analytics and improve productivity from well lift systems, Cairn Oil and Gas has embarked on this digital project in collaboration with Halliburton. Majority of wells in Cairn Oil & Gas are on downhole pumps (Artificial Lift System) to enable production from the wells. ALS surveillance and automation is a giant leap towards maximizing and gaining optimum value from these wells. This solution will enable a more pro-active and efficient approach for petroleum engineers to monitor ESPs and PCPs in Rajasthan asset. This platform will help the team to keep wells running in their optimal conditions and minimize downtime thus avoiding workovers.
